Hiking the Ice Age Trail – Hartman Creek Segment

The Hartman Creek segment of the Ice Age Trail is one of the most peaceful stretches in central Wisconsin. The trail winds through pine forests, glacial ridges, and quiet lakes that reflect the sky like glass.

I started early in the morning when the fog was still hanging low over the water. The trail was soft, the air was cool, and the only sounds were birds and the crunch of pine needles under my boots.
